Northwoods Kidz

Northwoods Kidz is the children's ministry of Northwoods Church. It's an uplifting and Christ-centered place for families to partner with the church to engage them with the gospel and show children what it means to follow Jesus.

Luke 2:52 describes what Jesus was like as a child. At Northwoods Kidz, we want to help children grow in the same way Jesus did:

-In Wisdom

-In Faith (favor with God)

-In Friendship (favor with man)

We think everyone experiences spiritual growth best in community. We grow from a number of different experiences in life, but following Jesus is something we do together in Northwoods Kidz LIFE Groups, Kidz Church and AWANA! We have classes for Babies through 5th Grade led by caring adult teachers and helpers, and your Kidz are invited to join us this Sunday at 9:30AM!

Check-In

• How do I check my child in? First, thank you for joining us! Kidz in Nursery - 5th Grade will be checked in at the Kidz Desk which is right inside the double doors at the playground entrance. Our greeters will welcome you and gather some important information. You will receive a set of printed stickers with a matching code. Place the child’s name sticker on his or her back (or wherever they are comfortable with it on), and keep the guardian receipt sticker in a safe place so that you can show it to your child’s teacher at pick-up. We’ll then take you to your child’s classroom. At pick-up, our leaders will match the code from both stickers. This completes the check-out process and you can see what your child learned!

• If a guardian tag is misplaced, we will ask you to complete a short “Lost Guardian Receipt” form with your ID information so that we can safely release your child.

• In the event that your child needs you at any time, we will contact you at the number you provided at check-in. Leaders will be equipped with the emergency information of all children under their care. We ask that parents keep their phones on vibrate while in class or service in case they are needed.

kidz Life Groups @ 9:30 (nursery - 5th grade)

• Nursery (E-3), Preschool (E-7), K-5th Grade (E-2)

• Small discipleship groups where children build relationships and grow in their faith and friendship with God and others. Their loving adult leaders teach them God’s Word through Bible stories, engaging discussion, games and fun life application activities all connected to the weekly Bible story and monthly virtue from 252 Kids.

Kidz Church @ 10:45 (K - 5th grade)

Room e-5 in the brick building

• Kidz have a specically-designed worship service just for them each Sunday at 10:45AM.

• Worship music, Bible-centered lessons, engaging discussion, games and fun life application activities all connected to the weekly Bible Story and monthly virtue from 252 Kids.

• Kidz Church meets in Room E-5 and occasionally the MPR for additional space.

  Kidz Connect: Where k-5th Grade Kidz and their parents or grown-ups meet together for lunch, worship music, family games, skits and time in the word.

  • The next Kidz Connect event will be Easter Jam, our children’s Easter celebration, coming April 13, 2025 @ 12 PM. Check back soon for more information about Easter Jam, a celebration big enough for the whole family!

  • In the MPR (the center room of the brick building)

  • Kidz Connect is where Kidz bring their parents/grown-ups to church!

You’ll also get four simple cues (ideas) each week to help you connect with the heart of your child during times of the day you’re already together - morning time, drive time, meal time and bed time.

Each parent cue is strategically designed for the age of the child you are raising and helps you develop family patterns that will enhance your long-term relationship with your child over time.

Once you enter your child’s information, you’ll see a countdown that tracks the number of weeks until your child turns 18. Parent Cue helps every caregiver count the weeks, so you can make the weeks really count.
